Fees & Terms

Every contribution to a GiftyPot pot includes one flat transaction fee: 2.9% + £0.25. It's charged once per contribution and never varies by card type. Guests can choose to cover the fee so 100% of their intended amount reaches the pot, or decline and have it deducted from what the pot receives.

Worked example

A guest contributes £50.00:

If you cover the fee, the pot receives the full £50.00 you intended and you pay £51.70 in total. If you don't, you pay exactly £50.00 and the pot receives £48.30 after the transaction fee.

What we never charge

• ✓No host fees, ever — hosts always get 100% of what guests intended when guests cover the fee.
• ✓No dormancy or withdrawal fees on a pot, however long it sits before payout.
• ✓Guests can always decline to cover the transaction fee — one tap, no tricks.
• ✓One flat transaction fee that never varies by card type, region, or bank.
